How do you deal with social anxiety at school?
I've been struggling a lot lately with feeling anxious in school — especially in classes where I have to speak up or work in groups. It's like my brain goes blank and I can't think straight even when I know the answer. Has anyone else experienced this? What actually helped you?

24 days agoI used to feel exactly this way. What helped me was doing a breathing exercise before class — even 4 deep breaths makes a difference. Also, remember that most people are too focused on themselves to notice your anxiety as much as you think they do.

24 days agoI found that preparing something to say before class helped a lot. Even if I didn't say it, having a plan made me less anxious. Also talking to the teacher privately about it — some teachers are really understanding.

24 days agoTherapy helped me a lot but I know that's not available to everyone. In the meantime, the Handling Anxiety growth path on here actually has some really practical exercises that helped.
